Dove Rehab Services is a small Occupational Therapy private practice in Westbury, NY. We serve children who have minimal to moderate sensory integration disorders that result in deficits of attention, coordination, body awareness, muscle strength, postural control, visual motor integration, and auditory filtering skills. The majority of our client base has been referred to us over the years through well satisfied customers.
Dove Rehabilitation Services for Children has had the opportunity to serve families and children with sensory processing disorders as a community based private practice since 1992. Since its inception, Dove has had a single owner and single purpose with the goal of providing excellence in service so that these children can maximize their potential.
Reneé L. Okoye, OTR/L, has helped children over the past 25 years as a licensed pediatric occupational therapist with AOTA Board Certification in Pediatrics. She has contributed to the profession as a professor, speaker, consultant, private practitioner at her own clinic, school-based occupational therapist, independent contractor for early intervention services, and author. Her Sensory Processing Goal Matrix has helped therapists all over the world treat children with sensory issues.
Renee’s passion for helping other therapists and the children they serve can be seen in her diverse contributions to the field. Renee was a contributing author for the book Functional visual behavior: a therapist's guide to evaluation and treatment options (American Occupational Therapy Association 1997), as well as the author of a chapter in Functional visual behavior in adults: an occupational therapy guide to evaluation and treatment options (American Occupational Therapy Association 2005).
